I found a website today that lets you put in a blog address and then it purports to analyze the site to tell you based on the language and writing style whether it is written by a man or a woman. I ran my blog thru it and its guess, 66% chance, that the site was written by a woman. Wrong! By the site’s own stats it is wrong about 46% of the time, which frankly isn’t alot better than guessing.

Mark Steyn does it again!
Previously, I linked to a column in which Mark Steyn, the great Canadian writer, takes a journalism professor to task over his criticism of a quotation in a Steyn column. Well, once again proving what I have always thought, namely that college professors in general are not the brightest folks around, the professor has seen fit not to simply take his beating and go home. Rather, he has returned to another helping of whoop-a$$, which Steyn obligingly provides. You can read it here.
