Modeling without modeling

For a blog that is suppose to be mainly about modeling, there have been very few modeling posts on this site recently. Hopefully this post will be the beginning of a correction of that problem. The reason that there have been so few modeling related posts is that I’ve done very little actual modeling lately. I haven’t had a serious session of modeling since at least mid-April. That isn’t to say I’ve not been doing modeling related stuff. My local modeling club, MMCL, had its very successful invitational contest on May 31st. As the person in charge of vendors, as well as a judge, I was very busy.

Since then I have been very busy at work and have been on vacation in Jamaica and in Maryland. While I have been away from the modelcave, I have been doing a lot of model related reading. In addition to a couple of history books, which I will review here later, I have been reading several modeling magazines. I have commented in my previous blog that I buy way too many model magazines than I have time to read.

My two current favorites are Scale Aircraft Modeler International and Model Aircraft Monthly. The website for their publisher is here. I highly recommend both of these magazines.

Well that is all for now, hopefully some real modeling soon.
