I am a fountain pen nut. I love them and use them a lot. Whereever I go I always look for model shops and fountain pen stores. One of my favorite of the latter is Bertram’s Inkwell in the Baltimore, MD area. I could spend hours and a lot of money in that place.
One of the things I love about fountain pens are the inks. I use red and blue a lot and finding the right red and blue can be tough. For red, I like the Visconti burgundy. However, I recently ran out and am using Diamine Monaco red. It is very similar to the Visconti burgundy.
I’ll try and do a blog entry or two about my pens and inks in the future, but for now I just thought I’d mention it.
