This story out of England seems to illustrate political correctness run amok.  It seems to silly to be true.

Speed cameras

I’ve always had an issue with speed cameras (as opposed to red light cameras).  I’ve always thought they were more about raising revenue, rather than traffic enforcement.  This story makes me think that even more.  The fact that one city was generating half its city budget from fines was shocking.  The explaination given by the speed light camera company for why the speeds don’t match the cameras is particularly weak.
