This is so delusional, I don’t know where to begin. I lost IQ points just reading it and I don’t have that many to spare.

Sprue Cutters Union #14
This week’s Sprue Cutters topic is easy:– What do you think is the worst part of the hobby? –
That is simple to answer: Canopies
More of my models end up stopped at the canopy stage than any other. It is one reason that when I am having trouble finishing anything I pick a model for a quick build and the one thing I look for is something without a canopy. This is the one area where I need to improve. Any suggestions are welcomed.

The Free Press
Democracy requires a free press, and visa versa. Thus, I don’t know why the press seems so tolerant of the current administration doing stuff like this.

Sprue Cutters Union #13
I missed last week. My bad, but work has gone crazy.
This weeks topic is: – How do you prepare for your next build? –
This one is difficult for me. I used to research obsessively before a build. It contributed to a bad case of AMS and a two year period where I never finished a kit.
To break this pattern I started building with no research and pretty much out of the box. This got me building again and enjoying modeling, but I’ve had an instance or two where I’ve finished a model and then found a flaw or detail that I should have added but didn’t. That made me feel a bit bad.
Right now I am working on a happy medium. I do some research and preparation, but not the obsessive amount I use to. Its working for me to some extent.
Here are some other union posts on the subject.

NPR
I’ve never liked the idea of state-sponsored media. I’ve always thought that many NPR broadcasts were very subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) propaganda. However, I have to aplaud them for having an ombudsman with the freedom to publish this.
