Taxes, how do they work?

If a state has high income taxes, and the federal government stops subsidizing them by limiting the federal deductibility of SALT taxes, comedy ensues.

  1. “One percent of the state’s top income earners provide 46 percent of the state’s personal income tax revenues, officials said.” “God forbid if the rich should leave.”

That can’t be right, the MSM / progressive talking point is that the rich don’t pay their fair share.

  2. There was a story a couple years back where one individual, one single person, who lived in New Jersey moved to Florida and it caused a budget crisis in New Jersey because that person paid so much in state income tax. The SALT cap was the single best part of the tax package past last year.
