At least in an asteroid impact simulation.  Frankly, it is comforting to know that there is at least some attention being paid to this issue.

  1. Many believe there have been three impact events (or series of impact events) in “recent” history: 12,800 years ago, 11,600 years ago, and roughly 7,000 years ago. The first two melted the glaciers, ended the most recent ice age, and raised sea levels 400 feet. The last one is responsible for Noah’s flood. They believe one of the older impact craters was found under the ice sheet in Iceland last fall, the “Hiawatha” crater, but the dating is not yet confirmed. The one responsible for Noah’s floods hit in the Indian Ocean. Any one of those impacts today would not be the end of humanity, but it would be a major setback for civilization.
