Don’t buy Armory Tu-128 resin wheels
I’ve been spoiled. Most resin wheels I use are Barracudacals resin wheels. They are great. However, they weren’t an option for the Tu-128. So I opted for the only game in town, Armory.
Sadly, Armory isn’t Barracudacals. Not by a long shot. While more detailed that the kit wheels, it isn’t by much and certainly not worth the expense. The detail is soft. Also much of the additional detail will be wiped out drilling out the axle hole.
In short, save your money and use the kit wheels.

ISS gets an upgrade
The ISS is getting a new Russian science module. The interesting part to me is that instead of adding to the ISS, the old science module will be detached and de-orbited.(post in memory of Mike Nofsinger)

A close run thing
An interesting story. I had not realized how much the new prop increased the Spitfire’s performance.

My Plastic Model Mojo Interview
A great interview.
Mike and Dave of the Plastic Model Mojo Podcast had me on for an interview in Episode 41, “Sprue Pie a la Mojo”. I very much enjoyed having a live conversation with them, and hope to hang out with them again soon, off- or on-microphone.
We talked about a lot of things, including the intersections with model railroading and scale modeling social media. Give it a listen if you can.
