The real question is are they durable?  This is an interesting development.

Everything old is new again

This reminds me of the plan to use 747s as ACLM launchers.  Given the retirements of the 747s, I would not be surprised to see that idea revived.

Look at what we have here.  The biggest question this raises is how did Border Models get the molds?  Inquiring minds want to know.

What is the harm?

Story here.  Government at all levels is too big. The power we grant to government officials has gone to their head.  4 officers and 3 cars and a search warrant to take an opossum from a guy who had rescued it and was caring for it.   Do we really need a law forbidding this type of thing?

Enjoy

Military Modelers Club Louisville 2021 IPMS Model Show

Filed under: Modeling — dknights @ 11:38 pm

It was good to see Jeff at the show. Had a great time.

Inch High Guy

Yesterday was the Military Modelers Club of Louisville 2021 Model Show.  This was the second show in IPMS Region IV since Covid (the first being the Roscoe Turner show in Indianapolis).  This show continued the trend of clubs re-thinking their site paradigms and was relocated to a much larger venue, the Triple Crown Pavilion & Convention Center.  The bigger venue and the general desire to get out again resulted in a very successful show and an MMCL club record of 481 entries.  The drive down was rainy but by the afternoon the skies had cleared and the day was beautiful.  The club is justifiably famous for their outstanding raffle and this one did not disappoint.  Overall a fine day out!

Boeing’s space woes

Boeing continues to have problems with their SpaceX Crew Dragon competitor.  You being to wonder what kind of work culture problem Boeing has after recent noted failures such as this, the KC-46 and the 737 Max.  Once you lose a good work culture, it is hard to get back. (Again, thank God for Elon Musk)
