If you don’t follow Dave Burge on Twitter, you are missing a treat. (@iowahawkblog) His #DavesCarIDService threads are a treat. He is also a polymath who ends up telling you tons’ of stuff you didn’t know. He also has a Substack where he goes on about old cars. This is a fantastic thread about “1942” model cars and the uses the car plants were put to. Read and enjoy.

An apology
The blog has been a little inactive in the last two weeks. Professional demands have increased and something had to give. I think I’ve got things back under control and hope to have daily posts from here on out, including some longer form posts and more modeling content. Stay tuned.

An interesting modeling blog
Militarymodelers.com. They do something that the old MMP magazine used to do, which is builds of models out of the box with no paint or filler. This will be a great resource for someone building a kit once the site gets more content up. (h/t to Jim Bates for the pointer)

That is the question posited by this blog post. Glad he is a PMM listener. Naturally, my answer is a resounding yes! Frankly, I think 72nd scale is as healthy as it has ever been. Your thoughts?

MXY-7 info
My last model completion was the Brengun kit of the MXY-7 Ohka. Here is a blog post by someone who assisted in the restoration of the one at the IWM. (h/t Jeff “Inch High” Groves)
A really nice 72nd scale modeling blog
It is here. Focus is mainly on propeller aircraft around WWII. Worth keeping an eye on.
