As regular readers know, spaceflight and exploration is one of the areas where I frequently link to news stories.  I am adamant that we need to get the US back into manned spaceflight and we need to get humanity out into the solar system.  It is stories like this that are one of the reasons why.  Sooner or later we are going to get smacked hard.  It would be better if we weren’t all in one place when that happens. It looks like we may have found the second interplanetary visitor to our solar system.  This is only the second ever discovered and both have been within the last year.  This one appears to be a comet and is very much like the comets seen in our own solar system.  Of note, it was discovered by an amateur astronomer.
