Yearly total: 16.43 hrs

A little more work on the Takom kit.  This kit is turning out to be a more complex build than I had at first thought.  It is different from building an aircraft in that there is a lot less stopping and painting.  At this point it is pretty much all construction, all the time.

Yearly total: 15.76 hrs

More work on the Takom Skoda Siege gun.  I got the base assembled.  This is a bit out of sequence, but the base is in some ways a separate item from the gun and carriage.  As of right now, I am averaging 221.24 hours for the year.  I know that won’t hold.  If I was able to finish the year having done 150 hours, I’d be well pleased.  I promise pictures soon.

More work on the Takom Siege Gun.  The nice thing with this build is I am at the stage where I can work on it anywhere, not just in my shop.  However, I am at the point where I will need to prime some pieces to see what shape they are in.  Photos WILL follow.

Working on the Takom Skoda gun while watching Chopped on Food Network.  This build isn’t going quite as fast as I had anticipated.

I swear I am going to add photos to some of these reports.  I got a good two solid hours in, working on the Airfix Hurricane for the Battle of the Barristers and worked on the Takom Skoda gun.  Both are progressing nicely.  I managed to screw up the recently completed Airfix P-51 when moving it to take photos, so now I have some minor repair work to do.  This will put off the beauty shots of it.

Worked on the Takom 35th scale Skoda siege gun.  Mostly detail sanding and cleanup.  The nice thing is this stage of work can be done sitting on the couch in front of the TV instead of down in the workroom.

In case you are wondering, the full size gun looks like this.

Yearly total: 7.6 hrs

Went to the MMCL shop with Gnat in the morning.  We were actually there longer, but I rounded down to actual model time.  Began work on the Takom Skoda Siege gun.  Why?  I don’t know.  It just seems cool.

In the evening, worked on the GHI base, the final touches on the Airfix P-51 and the Hurricane for the famed barrister’s build.  Also did some testing with the new camera, but didn’t count that as modeling time.  I am on pace to get 252.18 hours of modeling in this year.  Of course, that won’t happen.  I’ll be lucky to get in half that number.  I always start off well in January and then life intervenes.
