Russia in Syria

The Russian adventure in Syria has not been cheap.  See this article.  Given the sad state of the Russian economy, the cost of these airplanes and helicopters, the Russians can ill-afford their Syrian adventure, which is all the more reason for the US to look for ways to suck them in further.

...from the end of the cold war.  I recall that the Israelis did something similar stealing an entire SA-2 or SA-3 SAM radar unit from the Egyptians back in the 70s.

ACE is producing a new kit of the Ka-25 Russian helicopter.  This looks to be an improvement over the old Airfix kit.
