It looks like it. Wolfpack Designs, who up to now are best known for 48th scale, are apparently going to do a 72nd scale F-5.  This is good as the Italeri kit is old and the Hobbyboss isn’t that good.

Hobbyboss has announced a new A-4E for later in 2019.  Frankly this is good news as a modern tooling of an A-4E would be most welcome.

Yes, this is a review of an issue that is almost a year old.  I swear, I will catch up someday.

This issue is your typical SAM.  For the 72nd scale modeler, there is a number of articles.  An Australian Army Tiger ARH helicopter from the HobbyBoss kit. There is also a Gannett from the Revell kit in an interesting Red and Silver scheme. Also, there is a build of the Hasegawa F-15D in Israeli markings.  The Special Hobby CAC CA-13 Boomerang is featured in a build article.  There are also build articles on making an air racer from a a Trumpeter Sea Fury and a Revell IDS Tornado in some spectacular Tiger Meet markings.  The feature article is on the colors and markings of F-15s in their various makes and models.

All of the build articles are nice.  The photos are very good, but the articles lack detailed descriptive text.  Additionally, this issue suffered from the usual typos.  I don’t know why a major print magazine suffers worse copy-editing than volunteer magazines such as RT and the Journal.

I like SAM.  I really do.  I do wish there were fewer but more in-depth articles. along with other types of features.
