Yoav Efreti is a modeler whose work has appeared in Scale Aircraft Modeling.  He concentrates on 72nd scale aircraft, mostly Israeli.  He has started a new website, Yoavation.  Go take a look. (h/t to Jim Bates for the pointer)

This is way cool.  I know I’ve blogged about this technology before.  I think this type of technology will lead us more quickly to the use of robots in combat to avoid casualties.

First aid training

I’ve thought for quite a while that a program to train up large numbers of volunteers with first aid training to assist in natural disasters and mass casualty events would be a good idea.  Apparently there are programs like this one that are taking things even a step further.  I hope this program spreads.

Israeli space news

It appears that a private Israeli firm is about to land a satellite on the moon.  The satellite was launched via a SpaceX rocket, another private firm.  If successful, Israel will become only the fourth country to land a satellite on the moon.  Clearly, much of the future of space exploration is in the private sector.
