Well, this news made me feel much better.

What is it?

The shape of a new aircraft, or just a random test?  You decide.

Boeing’s space woes

Boeing continues to have problems with their SpaceX Crew Dragon competitor.  You being to wonder what kind of work culture problem Boeing has after recent noted failures such as this, the KC-46 and the 737 Max.  Once you lose a good work culture, it is hard to get back. (Again, thank God for Elon Musk)

Is this the future of air combat?  I suspect it will be a larger and larger aspect of it.  Interested to see where we will be in 20 years, if I make it that long.

SpaceX launches, orbits and recovers the first all civilian space crew.  This is big.  Also, nice to see St. Jude getting some donations from the flight.  I’ll say it again. Thanks God for Elon Musk!

And we need to be too.

Example 1

Example 2

Now, none of this is stuff the US hasn’t done, but the Chinese have already caught up technologically in a lot of areas.  There is no reason to believe that they won’t catch up in space, and quickly.

Good to see the F-117 getting used in this manner.  I always thought we “retired” them too quickly.

ULA and Blue Origin are having trouble delivering engines for their new launch platform.

The Chinese are looking to build a moon lander.  Hopefully Elon will get there before them.

A Russian rocket is going to fall out of orbit and burn up. (metaphor alert)

(All links in memory of Mike Nofsinger who would love the crap out of all of this.)

The Checkmate.  It is just a mock up at present.  Apparently it is solely for the export market.  It is an attempt to make something cheaper than the Su-57.  We’ll see if it ever gets built.
