China has developed a hand-held laser. It looks to be mainly useful for crowd control and maybe anti-terror operations at the moment.
The US may put laser weapons on the F-35. Interesting.
Not to be outdone, the US Army is going to field a 100Kw laser for anti-drone, anti-mortar defense.
