This story doesn’t make much sense to me. Given the sophistication of the Saudi military equipment, I would have thought that the Saudis would have a big advantage in this conflict, especially as they are not restrained by western sensibilities about civilian casualties.

USN submarine plans
The US Navy is apparently planing on a rate increase in submarine production. This sounds good. Let us hope they can pull it off. My faith in the USN procurement system has been shaken of late.

First aid training
I’ve thought for quite a while that a program to train up large numbers of volunteers with first aid training to assist in natural disasters and mass casualty events would be a good idea. Apparently there are programs like this one that are taking things even a step further. I hope this program spreads.
